It was mostly cloudy today, but there were still opportunities for solar imaging. Today’s solar disk comparisons appear below.


The annotated sunspot cameo shows the group AR3889 that has come into view just south of the eastern solar limb. AR3878 has disappeared behind the western limb.

Below are some cropped images of today’s prominences visible in the H-alpha image – top left solar disk. Left to right they are along the eastern and southeastern limb, the southern pole, and the western limb.
