These are my images of the sun for the afternoon of New Year’s Eve. The H-alpha image below reveals several jets of sun stuff being ejected into the corona from prominences along both eastern and western limbs.

The image below emphasizes the sunspots. Several more active regions have disappeared around the western limb – bound for the sun’s far side.
