Today’s H-alpha solar image shows continued prominence activity along both the eastern and western solar limbs. Along the NE limb, there are tall, loops of sun stuff. Along the WNW, there are additional loops and a one prominent jet. There is also some activity along the SW limb.

The sun has seven active regions today, but the newest one, AR4010, is not visible in my image. AR4002 is disappearing near the western limb as it travels to the far side of the sun.

The first gallery below shows the eastern limb prominences; the second shows the prominences along the western limb. The arrow in the first image of the second gallery shows a prominent plasma jet high above the chromosphere.
