The sun is very active today. The H-alpha image shows extensive prominences along the western and southwestern limbs as well as a smaller region of activity along the eastern limb. There are twelve active regions (13 according to NASA but AR3032 is not visible in my image).
The annotated sunspot image below shows all but one of the currently active regions.
