Today, cirrus clouds partially obscured the sun, but it was still possible to obtain some good images. Today’s H-alpha image shows many plages (bright areas) around the major active regions which number ten in my sunspot image below. There are also prominences along both eastern and western limbs although the largest of them are along the western limb.

My annotated sunspot image below shows ten of the twelve active regions identified on today’s NASA image.
