Today’s H-alpha image shows new prominence activity along the sun’s eastern limb, and more activity along its western limb. There is also a very bright plage in the NW quadrant of the solar disk that appears associated with AR4031.

The sunspot image shows eight active regions today. Active region AR4022 has disappeared from the western limb to the far side of the sun. My image below shows a sunspot between AR4028 and AR4026, but it is not shown in NASA’s image. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see whether it gets a designation or fades and disappears.
