Today’s H-alpha image shows dramatic prominence activity along the sun’s eastern limb. The western solar limb is relatively quiet with only a little activity along the S-SW limb

The annotated sunspot image below continues to show the eight active regions we saw yesterday. A potential region lying between AR4026 and AR4028 that I noted in yesterday’s image has disappeared. It may have been an artifact in my image because it wasn’t visible in the NASA image of the same day. Real science requires the reproducibility of results.
