Today’s H-alpha image shows five active regions including one just emerging over the sun’s eastern limb. There are several prominences along the western limb from north to south as well as some activity along the east-southeastern limb.

The corresponding sunspot image shows five active regions including AR4056 which is just coming into view near the eastern limb. AR4048 is more complex than the other active regions.
