Today’s H-alpha image shows prominence activity along the same limbs as yesterday – NE, SE, West, and SW. The dramatic NE prominence appears lower relative to the sun’s chromosphere probably as a result of the sun’s east-to-west rotation. We’re seeing the same mass of sun stuff above the chromosphere but at a slightly different angle.

Today’s sunspot image shows AR4058 which was not visible yesterday. AR4046 has now disappeared to the sun’s far side. The small group AR4057, above AR4055, is not visible in my image, nor is a new group emerging from the sun’s east limb, AR4058.

The prominences appear in the galleries below with supersaturation of the red channel to better reveal the faint jets and arcs of sun stuff.
