Today’s H-alpha image shows some dramatic plumes of sun stuff high above the chromosphere along the sun’s NW limb. There is also a very bright plage near the west limb around AR4055.

The sunspot image shows a new active region, AR4061 as the disappearances of AR4054 and AR4059.

The main prominences visible along the NW, SW, and NE solar limbs are showcased below. Note the plumes of sun stuff in the first image.
