Today’s H-alpha image shows ongoing prominence activity along the NE and NW solar limbs.

The corresponding sunspot image shows a faint active region – AR4059. AR4048, close to the western limb yesterday, has disappeared to sun’s far side.

The NE and NW prominences appear in the gallery below. The image on the left also shows AR4060 and its surrounding plage. Similarly, the image on the right shows AR4058, AR4055 and their surrounding plages.
