Like yesterday’s H-alpha image, today’s image continues to show looped prominences along the sun’s western limb. The most dramatic of them, present in yesterday’s image, is along the NW solar limb. There are smaller prominences along the SW and S-SW limbs.

Below, today’s sunspot image shows eight active regions, seven of which are annotated with their NASA designations. The region that I have labelled “AR4069?” appears in NASA’s satellite imagery, but it is not shown with a formal AR designation.
