I managed some passable images today despite much cumulus cloud cover. Tomorrow will probably be worse with an increased probability of rain.

In today’s H-alpha image, we have on-going prominence activity along the western solar limb with lesser prominences along the NW, E-NE, and SE limbs.

The sunspot image shows only six, named active regions. AR4074 which was no longer visible in my sunspot image yesterday has now disappeared from NASA’s image as well. AR4097 has faded and is no longer visible, and AR4093 is also fading rapidly. A new sunspot group, AR4099 has come into view on the eastern horizon below the sun’s equator, and another, yet unnamed, active region is seen emerging at the very edge of the equator.

The major prominences appear below. The western limb prominences show very distinct arcs and one major plume.
