Like yesterday, today’s skies were mostly overcast. I again captured two, 100-frame AVIs during clearings between the clouds. The best 20 frames from each AVI were stacked and post-processed to yield these images.
The H-alpha prominence image shows bright plages around AR4100 and AR4099. There is a large, rope-like prominence along the SW limb with smaller prominences along the W and NW limbs. Along the eastern limb there is a loop prominence and further north, there is a less impressive jet that emanates where its corresponding filament ends at the solar rim. All of these features are showcased in the prominence gallery at the end of this page.

The sunspot image shows only two active regions. The NASA SDO image shows two others (AR4101 and 4104) that have become too faint to see in my instrument.
