Today’s H-alpha solar image shows prominences along the sun’s eastern and western limbs. There is a new active region and bright plage in the southeastern quadrant.

In the annotated sunspot image below, we see two new sunspot groups – AR4106 mid-disk above the equator and AR4105 that has emerged from the eastern limb in the sun’s southeastern quadrant. AR4100 and AR499 are about to disappear as they go around the western limb to the sun’s far side.
