Today’s H-alpha image continues to show dynamic prominences along the sun’s western limb. The two major areas of activity, NW & SW, are long filaments stretching E-W across the solar disk. With the sun’s rotation each day, we see another part of the filament at the sun’s limb.
The prominences along the eastern limb, NE & SE, are diminutive by comparison.

The annotated sunspot image shows seven active regions; AR4126 has formed since yesterday. Active regions AR4123 and AR4124 are still too faint to see in my image below.

The western limb prominences are showcased below. In the NW, the jet of sun stuff forms an arch of material falling sunward. The SW region shows a loop prominence and a tall pillar of sun stuff jetting outward from the chromosphere.
