Today’s H-alpha image shows a pair of dramatic prominences along the NE solar limb. There are other prominences along the ESE, SE, and NW limbs.
The sunspot image shows only five of the six active regions visible in NASA’s SDO image. AR4179 is the region that is not shown in my image.
