The skies were partly cloudy today, and the “seeing” was challenging – making it difficult to achieve a reliably crisp focus. Somedays, that’s just the way it goes. The focus on my H-alpha image could have been better for sure.

The H-alpha image shows much smaller prominences than we saw yesterday. Most of the activity is along the SE and SW limbs. There are still many filaments on the solar disk; so, there will be more prominences in the days to come.

Today’s NASA SDO sunspot image shows 13 named active regions. My image below shows 11 of them. The other 2 are simply too faint for my solar rig to reveal.
