After a weekend of clouds and occasional sprinkles of rain, the mercury has fallen a good ten degrees. Today, the afternoon skies were clear.
Below, today’s H-alpha image shows prominences along the NW, S, and ESE solar limbs.

The annotated sunspot image shows all but one of the active regions seen in today’s NASA SDO image. Missing is AR4212 which consists of very small sunspots that lie between AR4210 and AR4206.
