Today’s H-alpha image shows prominences along the sun’s NE, SE, NW and SW limbs.

Today’s sunspot image, like yesterday’s, shows five of the six active regions; AR4212 is still too small and faint to be seen here.

The eastern limb prominences appear below. The NE limb shows two delicate arches of sun stuff rising above the solar chromosphere.

The western limb prominences also show a well-formed arch along the NW limb.
