After two days of heavy clouds, it was finally clear today. Below, the sun’s H-alpha image shows dramatic prominences along the NE and SW solar limbs with smaller prominences along the SE and NW limbs.

The sunspot image shows that much has changed over the past three days. Active regions 4233, 4235, and 4240 have disappeared. There are several new regions including AR4243 and AR4242.
