Today’s H-alpha image continues to show a large, stable prominence along the NE solar limb that may send sun stuff our way creating radio disturbances as well as auroral displays. The NW limb shows some spicules, and the SW limb has minor prominence activity.

The sunspot image shows a new active region, AR4250, near AR4248. AR4246, plainly visible yesterday isn’t noticeable today – I’ve indicated where it should be.
