Today’s H-alpha image shows modest prominence activity only along the SE and NW solar limbs.

The sunspot image shows seven active regions. AR4246 is just at the sun’s western limb. AR4255, which was visible in NASA’s SDO image yesterday, has disappeared from today’s NASA image.

The prominences appear in the gallery below. The first frame shows faint, delicate arches of sun stuff. The second shows a complex plume reaching high above the chromosphere.
