Today was clear and calm. The H-alpha image shows a large blob of sun stuff high above the chromosphere along the NW solar limb. There are smaller but more complex arcades along the E limb.

The sunspot image below shows four of the five active regions that appear in NASA’s SDO image. AR4271, a region that has formed in the SE quadrant of the solar disk, is not visible in my image.
