Today’s H-alpha image shows only minor prominences. AR4274 is a complex of sunspots and plages that is showering Earth with particles that are causing aurorae at the higher northern latitudes.
Today’s sunspot image shows the same four active regions we saw yesterday as well as a new region, AR4276, in the southeastern quadrant.
