I read today that 300 physician leaders, scientists and Nobel laureates penned an open letter in defense of Anthony Fauci for his almost 40 years of public service and sage counsel to the government and the public. If I were a practicing physician and medical community leader, I would have been proud to join them, as many other physicians would as well.
I wonder whether there as many feckless physicians and scientists to pen an open letter in a full-throated defense of Rand Paul’s fact-free attacks on Dr. Fauci. Are there 300 leading and Pulitzer Prize winning journalists who would write an open letter endorsing the feckless dipshits on the Fox network who call for Fauci to be fired or compare him to Josef Mengele? It will be a cold day in hell before either of these things happens, I think.
