I have considered what to post today, on and off, throughout the day. There’s nothing much new in Medicine or COVID this weekend. The markets are closed for the weekend. Our petty and often stupid political skirmishes are typically fought during the week, of course. All that is worthy of comment is the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the international community’s response to it.
What can I contribute to the conversation? Almost nothing, of course. This is a time for all of us to do whatever we can to support our international relief agencies, our President, and the people of Ukraine who face an invading force with superior numbers with little more than their grit and resolve to sustain them in their opposition.
But remember that Americans fought England and its mercenaries to a standstill and then defeat with not much more.
