Last night, contemplating this evening’s dinner menu, I settled on surf ‘n turf. The only question was what protein to put in each category. I settled on cocktail shrimp and lamb. So, at the grocery today, I bought cocktail shrimp with red sauce and four lamb chops like you might find in a rack of lamb.
I turned the seafood sauce into its Mexican version by adding chopped green onion, chopped cilantro, diced avocado, and diced jalapeno (deveined and seeded). I get that some people do not like heat and others do not like the taste of cilantro, and still others like neither, tastes are idiosyncratic for sure.
Susan used Julia Child’s recipe for roasted lamb chops, and they came out as they always do – exquisite. Below is tonight’s surf ‘n turf. I hope that you enjoyed your dinner as much as we did ours.

I had dental work yesterday, I had an egg and chocolate milk.
Hope that by tomorrow I can eat some real food.
