It means another pendejada. Yesterday’s dinner used the Dos Pendejos seasoning for steaks and burgers. It was nice, but to be honest, it was difficult to discern the taste of that spice from the Montreal Steak Seasoning and the pickled serrano that I had with my steak. You may recall that since I had a thalamic stroke last September, I have right hemifacial paresthesia. It’s as if I had put chili pepper over my right upper and lower lips. So, a little extra heat from a serrano pepper or a spice rub is easy to overlook. Alas.
We bought three seasonings in Gonzales – one for BBQ, another for steaks and burgers (the one I used last night), and the third titled Oro del Mar for seafood. You most probably know that Oro is gold and Mar is Sea. Tonight, I used the Oro del Mar pendejada on shrimp skewers that I grilled alongside pineapple rounds. Susan prepared what I usually call a Med salad (a spartan collection of Mediterranean ingredients served with a drizzle of Bordeaux Cherry balsamic vinegar. It looked like this.

Here’s a picture of the Oro del Mar seasoning. It all turned out quite well, I think.
