The past five or more years, I have posted our encounters with the grey foxes in our backyard. They are elusive, crepuscular, creatures. Svelte and dainty, they fall somewhere between feline and canine in form and behavior. We have seen them a couple of times this past week. One crossed our back porch a few days ago while another crossed the backyard along the privacy fence. Yesterday, Susan caught one scampering along the privacy fence.
Today, one pranced across the front deck and took a long drink at a deep pot that is home to our umbrella plants. I took a picture or two, and then I went to the backyard awaiting its appearance after it had circled the house. Sure enough, it trotted out from behind the observatory and walked to within 12ft of me. I snapped a couple of pics before it retired to safety.
They are such beautiful creatures.

Love this so much.
Beautiful critters😊
