It’s only Tuesday, and I’ve already had enough political dystopia for the whole week. So, I’m going with anodyne deck pics instead – that D.E.C.K. pics not to be confused with pictures of Anthony Wiener’s junk.

Now that the railings have been repainted, I have tried to restore pots, plants, and decorative tchotchkes to the deck these past two days. The tchotchkes are ceramic spheres or balls, if you prefer. Each grouping of plants gets one or more balls just for a splash of color. They appear below.

The tall water feature and its pots gets an orange sphere.
The Sansevieria (aka MIL tongue or Snake Plant) get a purple sphere.
The low water feature used by the foxes, racoons, and squirrels gets a pair of reddish spheres.
Our little conversation/lounging area gets a big, blue sphere.

There are more plants to return to the deck, but I am ambivalent about putting them out since I expect the weather to turn cold in just a few weeks. Perhaps they would do better in the greenhouse.
