Dinner this evening was pan fried Scotian Halibut. It was on sale. At $20/lb it isn’t exactly cheap, but it is much less expensive than Chilean Sea Bass. The fillet was dusted lightly with Dos Pendejos Oro del Mar seafood rub and then coated with homemade Macadamia nut crust. The side was an immature thistle blossom (an artichoke with garlic butter dip).

My appetite is picking up on Paxlovid.

  1. About 15 years ago we fished in Alaska and brought back 90 lbs of mostly salmon with some halibut. Flash frozen.
    We went to a market and the fresh salmon was $19.75 a pound back then in Sitka
