Today’s H-alpha view of the solar disk shows continued prominence activity along the sun’s western limb. I don’t usually annotate the active regions on the H-alpha image because the sunspot image usually shows them more clearly, but not today. Below, AR4024 and AR4012 are better identified by their bright plages rather than by the dark spots that appear in the other six active regions

The sunspot image below has a rather soft focus, and the active regions are revealed less clearly than in the H-alpha view. Alas!
