I did my best to capture today’s sun because the forecast for the next two days calls for clouds and rain (promises, promises). Today’s H-alpha image continues to show activity along the eastern and western solar limbs with dramatic loop prominences on the east and the plume we saw yesterday along the southwestern limb persisting into today streaming high above the chromosphere.

Today’s sunspot image shows a new active region that has just emerged from the east – AR4082. The three groups we saw yesterday have moved westward.
