Today’s H-alpha solar image shows complex plages, large filaments, and some prominence activity along the NE, NW, and SW solar limbs.

Below, the sunspot image shows all seven of the active regions shown in NASA’s SDO image today. AR4160 is no longer visible.

The prominences below show a double arch of sun stuff along the NE limb, lesser activity along the NW limb, and two prominences along the SW limb. Look carefully below the bright rope-like prominence to see a fainter prominence that extends far beyond the chromosphere.
