Beautifully clear skies made this afternoon’s solar photoshoot utterly painless. Below, today’s H-alpha image shows prominence activity along all four of the solar limb quadrants. Along the NE limb, there is a tall jet. In the ESE there are complex arches of sun stuff. The NW limb gives us a nice arch, and the WSW provides more complex arches.

In today’s sunspot image, we see all of the named active regions except for AR4209 which has faded beyond recognition in my image.

The northern hemisphere prominences are shown below followed by those in the southern hemisphere.
