Not Donald or Daffy, but Susan’s Duck l’orange. She made us a lovely roast duck tonight with a side of Everyday Channa (Curry Chickpeas) and chutneys of various kinds. The Duck always gets chopped orange and a generous sprig of Rosemary placed in its cavity. The house smells heavenly as it roasts in the oven.

My paltry contribution to this tasty meal is the carving of the bird. Bird anatomy, especially the pelvic anatomy, is totally counter-intuitive, but I somehow manage to learn it every time I am challenged with carving a bird.

We really need to do something about this cluttered table
