Today’s solar H-alpha image shows six active regions and some ongoing prominence activity along the sun’s NE and E limbs. AR4503 is represented by its bright plage rather than the usual dark spot.

Today’s major prominences are showcased below. The NE limb structure appears as a plume but is probably an arch with a faint northern (upper) side.
