Kedi is sitting at the threshold of the French doors gazing intently at a fat squirrel getting a drink on the deck.

Me: “I just read a little article about a study of domestic felines and their African wildcat ancestors. It seems that cat brains have been getting smaller as a result of domestication.”

Susan: “So, I guess that means that we won’t be sending them to medical school?”
